Why a sauna at home

A home sauna removes everything standing between you and a consistent practice: the drive, the schedule, the shared space. What remains is fifteen or twenty quiet minutes that are entirely yours, on your timetable, in a room designed around you.

What regular sauna use may support.

People turn to sauna to unwind, recover from training, ease stiffness and invest in their long-term health. Here is what studies suggest a regular sauna habit may support, with a link to each study.

How it works

A sauna session warms you from the outside in, raising your heart rate and boosting circulation much like light-to-moderate exercise, while giving you time to slow down and unwind. For the bigger picture, see these research reviews: Hussain & Cohen, 2018, Mayo Clinic Proceedings, 2018 and Mayo Clinic Proceedings, 2023.

Heart health & longevity

Thinking about your long-term heart health? Regular sauna sessions have been linked with better heart health over time. In a well-known Finnish study, people who enjoyed a sauna 4–7 times a week had lower rates of heart-related death than those who went once a week.

Good to know

Most of this research looked at traditional Finnish saunas enjoyed as part of an overall healthy lifestyle.

Healthy brain aging

Want to stay sharp as you age? Long-term research has linked a regular sauna habit with healthy brain aging, one more reason to make heat part of your week.

Joint comfort

Stiff, achy joints in the morning? Soothing infrared warmth eased joint stiffness and discomfort during sessions, and participants tolerated it well.

Mood & well-being

Looking for a better way to unwind? Researchers are exploring whole-body warmth for mood and emotional well-being, with encouraging results.

What we hear most

The questions that come before the purchase.

Every client arrives with a few honest hesitations. Here is how we address them.

01

“I never make it to the spa.”

A membership only works when your calendar cooperates. A sauna down the hall turns an occasional treat into a routine you can keep.

02

“Infrared or traditional?”

Infrared warms the body directly at a gentler air temperature. Traditional heats the room with a stove and allows steam. We help you decide by goal, not by trend.

03

“Will it fit, and can my home power it?”

Compact 1–2 person models run on a dedicated 120V / 15A outlet. Larger and traditional models need 240V. We confirm dimensions and electrical before you order.

04

“How do I know it's built well?”

We carry Canadian Hemlock, Red Cedar and Nordic Spruce builds, with low-EMF and near-zero-EMF heater options on infrared models.

Before you buy

Common questions.

How long does delivery take?

Most orders arrive in 3–9 business days. Larger saunas ship by freight, and the carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery window.

Do I need an electrician?

Compact infrared models plug into a dedicated 120V / 15A outlet. Larger and traditional models need a 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician.

Can I put a sauna outdoors?

Only models labeled all-weather or outdoor. Barrel saunas and select traditional models are built for it; most infrared cabins are indoor only.

Is sauna use right for me?

Most healthy adults tolerate sauna well when they stay hydrated, start with shorter sessions and avoid alcohol. Please check with your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, have a heart or blood pressure condition, take medications that affect heat tolerance, or are managing any medical condition. One small study found temporary changes in sperm production with regular sauna use.
