BIBS stands for built-in breathing system. Instead of a nasal cannula, you breathe oxygen through a fitted face mask that delivers it as you inhale. The air you breathe out is carried outside the chamber through a separate line.
The benefit is a steadier cabin: oxygen goes to you through the mask instead of building up in the chamber air.

Safety & use
From OxyCheny's operating guidelines. This is general product guidance, not medical advice. Hyperbaric sessions aren't right for everyone, so check with your clinician before you begin.
Pressure and oxygen can cause ear or sinus discomfort and other effects, and oxygen raises fire risk. Read the FDA's guidance on the safe use of hyperbaric devices.
Research
Most published trials used 2.0 ATA with 100% oxygen across 40–60 supervised sessions. Home chambers and protocols differ, so these findings don't automatically apply to home use.
A randomized trial in adults over 64 reported improvements in attention and processing speed after a 60-session course. Read the study
Small controlled studies in older adults and in trained athletes aged 40–50 reported better aerobic measures under clinical protocols. Older adults · Athletes
A small cyclist study at 1.3 ATA reported better performance in a follow-up effort. Overall, recovery research is mixed. Read the study
OxyCheny's guide covers what a built-in breathing system is, how it delivers oxygen by mask while carrying exhaled air out of the chamber, and why it is common on 2.0 ATA and multi-person hard-shell chambers.
Therapy applications from OxyCheny
OxyCheny's blog covers how hyperbaric sessions are being explored across many areas of health and performance.
These articles are from the manufacturer, and some describe clinical uses that are outside home wellness use. They are general education, not medical advice. Talk with your clinician before starting hyperbaric sessions, especially if you are managing a health condition.

You can add a BIBS breathing system for $625 or red light therapy for $375. Both are built into your chamber during production. Custom colors are already included in the price.
