One-touch sessions
A waterproof button beside your shower head starts each session. You set the duration once on the 10-inch HD touchscreen, and every shower runs for exactly that long. Fresh water flows through for every session.
Built to last
The casing is marine-grade aluminum with a durable powder coat. Inside is a titanium heat exchanger and a Mitsubishi rotary compressor. iCoolSport designs and manufactures the system in Australia.

Make it fit your shower
Every Ice Shower comes ready to start with a push button. iCoolSport's brochure lists a few more ways to set it up, and we'll quote these for you.
How the shower starts
Included: a backlit, waterproof push button on a small stainless steel plate. One press starts a timed flow of ice-cold water.
By quote: a proximity sensor, about the same size as the button plate. It starts the shower automatically when you step in.
Shower head & plumbing
Connect the Ice Shower to a dedicated rain shower head or to your existing shower. iCoolSport can tailor a plumbing package to connect to your existing shower, and we'll quote it for your space.
Cable lengths
Included: a 6.5 ft (2 m) power cable with a U.S. plug. Longer power cables are available on request. The button or sensor runs on a low-voltage (12 V DC) control cable. iCoolSport can supply it in the length your layout needs, and we'll confirm what ships with your order.
Hot and cold contrast showers
iCoolSport has announced a fully automatic contrast shower. It will run timed hot and ice-cold sessions on the same Ice Shower platform. It isn't available yet. Chat with us now and we'll let you know when it is.

- Install it indoors or under cover, on a level floor that can hold the filled weight
- Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from shower spray, rain and freezing temperatures
- Leave the rear air intake and the right-side exhaust open, and make sure the room can supply 500 CFM of airflow
- Ship and move the unit upright only, never on its side
Installation
How it connects
The Ice Shower needs three connections: a cold-water supply, a power outlet and the shower button. iCoolSport requires all electrical and plumbing work to be completed by licensed trades, following local codes.
Water
- Connect the cold-water supply to the ¾ in BSP inlet, with an isolating valve so the water can be shut off for servicing
- Run a pipe from the ½ in BSP outlet to your shower head. iCoolSport suggests copper.
- Use copper tube or a flexible hose for the shower line, and insulate the full run with closed-cell, UV-resistant foam to keep the water cold and prevent condensation
- Built-in protection: twin inlet valves guard against overflow, a pressure reducer brings mains pressure down to a safe level, and a low-voltage DC pump delivers a steady flow to the shower head
Power & button
- Plug the pre-installed cable into a suitable outlet, or have an electrician hard-wire it
- Mount the button plate near the shower head, sealed with silicone in wet areas
- Connect the button to the unit with a 4-core control cable (0.25 mm² minimum, about 24 AWG) run through the wall

Using & care
Simple to run, easy to maintain
First start
- Switch on the built-in safety switch on the left side of the unit
- The tank fills automatically. Once it's full, set your temperature and press START.
- The compressor starts after about 20 seconds and the fans after about 30
Every session
- Press the shower button once to start. The LED ring lights up.
- The shower stops automatically at your set duration
- Press the button again to stop early
Care
- Check and rinse the inlet strainer and pump filter from time to time
- Keep the condenser clean to maintain airflow and performance
- Clean the screen with distilled water only. The tank drains from a port at the lower rear.
Cold water is a strong stressor for the heart and lungs. If you have heart disease, an arrhythmia, high blood pressure, Raynaud's, neuropathy or another medical condition, or are pregnant, check with your clinician first. Avoid using it after alcohol, and stop right away if you feel dizzy, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, confusion, or numbness that spreads or persists. Build up gradually rather than chasing the coldest setting. The unit isn't intended for unsupervised use by children.

Most cold-water research studies full-body immersion, not showers, so these findings don't automatically apply to cold showers.
Cold showers at work
In a randomized trial of more than 3,000 adults, those who ended their daily shower with cold water reported fewer sick days from work. The number of days they were actually ill didn't change. Read the study

Reviews of cold-water immersion after hard exercise report lower perceived muscle soreness and better perceived recovery. Read the review
Recovery isn't the same as adaptation. Cold exposure right after strength training may blunt some of the muscle-building response, so if muscle growth is your goal, schedule cold sessions apart from lifting. Read the study

Questions, answered
How cold does the water get?
You can set it as low as 39°F (4°C). Set your temperature once on the touchscreen, and the unit keeps the tank at that temperature around the clock.
How many showers can it deliver?
Up to 10 per hour. The 70 L tank refills and re-chills automatically between showers.
Does it work with my existing shower?
Yes. It connects to a shower head through standard fittings, in a new or existing shower. The connections use BSP threads, so a U.S. installer may need BSP-to-NPT adapters. The shower button is wired back to the unit with a control cable run through the wall.
Is there a hot and cold version?
Not yet. iCoolSport has announced a fully automatic contrast shower with timed hot and ice-cold sessions, coming soon. Chat with us now and we'll let you know when it's available.
Can the shower start on its own?

What if I run out of cold water?
If back-to-back showers use up all of the chilled water, the unit automatically refills and re-chills the tank, which takes about an hour. Your temperature and duration settings stay saved.
Why does distance to the shower matter?
Water left sitting in the shower line slowly warms. With a long gap between showers, the first few seconds may be warmer, so iCoolSport recommends placing the unit within 16 ft (5 m) of the shower head. Closer is better.
Do I need a plumber or an electrician?
iCoolSport designed the Ice Shower to plug into a standard outlet and connect to a cold-water tap with a standard hose. Its manual also requires all electrical and plumbing work to be done by licensed trades under local codes. Plan on a plumber for the shower line and button cable, and have an electrician confirm the circuit. The unit draws 11 A at 110 V.
Where should the unit go?
Somewhere indoors or under cover, level and well ventilated, ideally within 16 ft (5 m) of the shower head. Keep it out of the spray, out of direct sun and away from freezing temperatures, and leave the clearances shown above.
Is it loud?
The unit has two low-noise fans. The manual rates it at 58 dBA measured about 10 ft (3 m) away.
How long should a cold shower last?
Start short and build up gradually. You choose the session length in the settings. We offer general product guidance, not individualized protocols, so check with your clinician if you have a medical condition.
What maintenance does it need?
Rinse the inlet strainer and pump filter from time to time, keep the condenser free of dust and debris, and clean the screen with distilled water. The full steps are in the user manual.
